Crosiers are unfurled fronds of a fern. It is always such a joy to find some everytime I take a walk in my garden.
Unfurling of a crosier...
Like a Koru, it represents new life, growth, strength and inner peace.
Unfurling of a tree fern.
Crosier of a mother fern.
Isn't it such a beauty?

There is one thing about ferns is their crosiers which I never seemed to get bored with them.
Somehow everytime I find a fern - I just want to do something creative challenging with them.
James, yes indeed! Some designs are patterned to a crosier used in decorations. In our country, this design is usually found in okir, a pattern found in clothing, pots and other ornamental jars. I thought of your beautiful vertical garden and envisioned it with young ferns hanging... :-)
How very cool to look at and watch them grow. I live in semi desert so needless to say I have no ferns, so I will watch yours!
sensiblegardening, thank you...I still have a lot to learn about ferns as I find them interesting. I'm sure you have lots of sun loving blooms in your garden which I don't have.
These are so lovely. I could look at them all day long. I do not have many ferns in my forested area...none like these. It must be utter joy to watch them grow.
Sage Butterfly, glad you liked them. I find some ferns challenging to grow and some just grow like weeds. I love them all! For now I'm trying to collect spores... :-)
